Explore Cappadocia’s heritage at a more relaxed pace, with time for churches, village lanes and a walk through the valleys. This two-day tour brings together cultural discovery and biblical art, ending with a journey beneath the surface at Kaymaklı Underground City.
Tour Overview
Two guided days balance the rock-cut heritage of Göreme and Çavuşin with Rose Valley, Monks Valley and the scenery around Ortahisar. A valley walk or a series of scenic stops can be chosen to suit your walking ability. One night in Cappadocia separates the two sightseeing days.
Your guide will introduce the fourth-century Cappadocian Fathers: Basil the Great, whose teaching shaped communal monastic life; Gregory of Nazianzus, known for his Trinitarian theology; and Gregory of Nyssa, whose writings explored Scripture and spiritual growth. Their regional legacy helps illuminate the later Byzantine churches you visit, without identifying these sites as their documented homes.
